Show Up & Shine Has Arrived

Show Up & Shine is boosting attendance while improving student health and happiness for Years 1–8.

School attendance continues to be a significant challenge across Aotearoa. Ninja Valley's Show Up & Shine initiative is designed to boost attendance across the Waikato and Canterbury by gifting every participating school (Year 1-8) a free class trip to Ninja Valley. We believe we can play a positive role by using our platform and community reach to encourage students to show up, participate, and shine - every day.

What is Show Up & Shine?

This free attendance initiative is designed to:

- Encourage students to attend school every day

- Celebrate attendance improvement

- Engage whānau in supporting consistent school attendance

The programme is open to all primary and intermediate schools in Canterbury and Waikato (Year 1 to 8) and runs in Term 1.

What is the prize?

The class with the highest attendance rate in Term 1 will win a free class trip to their nearest Ninja Valley (Hamilton or Christchurch) to be taken in Term 2 or Term 3.

How does it work?

Schools run their own internal attendance challenge during Term 1.

The school’s representative will submit the whole-school attendance percentage for Term 1 2025 and for Term 1 2026.

Results are due by the end of Week 1, Term 2.

Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport.

All students must wear Ninja Valley socks (bring your own or buy on-site).

The winning class (and attendance statistic) may be named in Ninja Valley promotional materials.
